World Watercolor Month Day 4 of 31


Day 4 and I say, "meh". lol

I really like the background in this one, but I just could NOT get the bird right.

On the other hand, it took years before I got good at textile painting - and this is only day 4.

Patience, Grasshopper.

    I think the bird is lovely and very dynamic. I can almost feel the wings beating! Maybe you are being too critical of yourself? :-)

    Thanks Dama - I am pretty critical, but I'm also trying to learn a specific thing and not achieving it. Argh! lol Hopefully with time, though. :)

    Agree with you on the wonderful background - disagree on the bird, for my thinking it is lyrical, musical and quite lovely to look at....hope that in time you will achieve what you desire so that you are pleased with the bird image...for now, you have given me a morning viewing pleasure

    I like the bird. Have you considered that the bird might need something else with it for balance? It feels incomplete.
