Are you ready for the big reveal? A little sneak peek before the jump: the vegetable matter and a hint of the glorious colour to come.
Welcome to my backwards post!
Although I have not yet purchased India Flint's book Eco Colour (nor have I purchased her follow-up - Second Skin); I did attend a talk by her last year, and from what I remember, it seemed the process was as follows: grab some plants, roll 'em up tight in cotton, silk, wool or other natural fibers, cook 'em, and let them hang around for awhile. Open them up and be amazed and astounded by their beauty!
So, given the new plan for the piece, I had to make more flowers. I didn't know whether I needed three or four in total for the whole piece, so I ended up making three more.

I haven't forgotten about you and I haven't disappeared - I simply haven't got anything to post.
Because I can't seem to concentrate on one thing at a time lately, I went back to work on that flower:
I was bored with it as I quilted it on that cream background, so decided to overlay it with four different 6.5 inch wide stips of coloured tulle.
