I started out with a clean, but old and impossibly stained tablecloth, which I cut into 10.5 inch squares:
This box of shiny strips was then brought into play:
And some experimentation began.
Oh dear! That's a definite "no".
Mayyyyyybeeeeee... if I tweak it a bit...
Flipping them over, and what the heck is THAT?
Is it starting to make sense now?
Hm. Stay tuned. :)
In the meantime, Jessie (ever helpful) suggests:
a nap.

Oooh, shiny :-) I can't wait to see the finished product! And how ridiculously cute is Jessie???
ReplyDeleteJessie is extremely cute - she's our "Little Flea" as we call her. Five pounds soaking wet (and 2.5 years old!) and her sister (Maggie-May) is 13.5 pounds - her nickname is "Bear". The matriarch, (Mitzie) is 16 pounds (but we don't speak of it) and her nickname is "Fat Princess". lol
ReplyDeleteDear quiltfriend,
ReplyDeleteMy sister is, after an exiting period, finaly pregnant of her first baby. Now I would like to make a bright-colored quilt for her. To welcome the baby to this world
with a quilt from patches from all over the world. I try to collect scraps of 12x12 cm (5x5 inch). Do you have a piece of fabric that may be suitable, perhaps you would sent it to me. I would really like to use it!
Many thanks and warm greetings,

Jessie is so precious! I love how cats love to lay in piles of fabric, clean laundry, etc - and also boxes! Looks like she's got the perfect combination there.
