I'm taking tonight off to spend the evening with BSP (instead of in my sewing room!), but tomorrow night I'll begin quliting and you know what, I'm going to get this done by the end of the weekend. On time!

ReplyDeleteAlso, tell me Crystal, do you know if this is considered a Bargello quilt? I said to BSP last night, “When I first started quilting, I always wanted to make a bargello quilt – I thought they were so beautiful. And you know, I think I just made one!”

ReplyDeleteMelvin, surprisingly, this quilt came together quite quickly once it was planned out. It's more complicated than it looks for one, and for two (hee!) it's only lap sized.

Hey Kit...I'm not sure if it's a Bargello or not. I mean, it looks like one so maybe it is one but I'm not familiar with the "rules". I think Bargello quilts use a specific technique where you sew all your fabric into a tube, cut into rings and then take apart whichever seam is the appropriate one for the pattern. So, if you didn't construct it that way, is it still a bargello? Who even knows! :) It's pretty, though and that's what counts! :)
