Birds do it...

Well, here it is Monday, and we begin again. :)

I started with a hand dye...

...and then some slubbed silk and my painted paper towels (why not combine them I say!?)...

And I made a branch.

Of course, branches need leaves...

So I made some of them too.

A bird begins on Wednesday!

  1. yes - why not combine them all (paper, fabric, paper towels)? It all works!

  6. I love how you did the first bird. It'll be fun to see this one develop. Are you using the same tiny feather technique?

  7. I love the way you stitched on the leaves making it look like a central vein. Very creative!!

  8. omg
I am so proud of you! KIT - you are the ONLY PERSON I have ever seen make a branch GREY. It is true - tree bark is very rarely chocolate brown. WHY do we color tree trunks brown!? Gosh - even on the kid's cartoons... It makes me mental that people don't LOOK.
(my other pet peeve is crumbs on the kitchen floor. Don't get me started. lol)
