Back to the drawing bird (board)

Remember when I told you that I had an issue with a bird's colour bleeding all over my work?

I'm making it all over again.*

NOW do you understand why I had a minor flip out and threw it in the garbage?  Approximately one billion french knots went to waste. (Augh!)

I'll be showing you the bird's progress on Wednesday. I'm going to have to make him "puffy" to stand up to all that texture.  Should be ... "interesting".

* since there seems to be some misunderstanding - the pictures above are of the re-do. :)

  7. PS. Really liked the yellow bird in the previous post. Beautiful hand stitching that enhanced it.

    1. Hey Deirdre did you know that you're (suddenly) a no-reply blogger? This usually happens to us when we change our profile to the Google+ profile.

And no - in a fit of what can only be described as "pique" (okay, it could *also* have been described as a temper tantrum lol); I threw it out. Regrets: I has them. ;)

  9. Wow! You and Monika with all of those French Knots... Is it a Canadian thing LOL? I did one... just one last week. They are a lot of fun. I can't believe you threw the old piece out! Couldn't you have used it as a decoration for your fish tank or something? Love these birds!!
