Fairy Wren

All done!

Okay, I need to paint in that little stretch on the hem and I also need to paint the sides of the mounting board, but otherwise, it's done. :)

So, to recap...

First I quilted the background (a lovely hand dye - not sure if this was one of mine or one of Deb Lacativa's), and then I added approximately one million french knots.

And then I painted a whole lot of paper towels in the appropriate colours, and then I fused them, and then I cut them out into little teeny tiny feathers, and bob's-your-uncle (just like that! Over the course of about 20 hours) my bird was done!

Two more to finish the series and two more weeks before they're due.  Can I make it?

Let's find out!
