At various points, having made various birds, various people have said to me "this is my favourite one!" Well guess what?
So, let's check out this bird, shall we?
I can't see the difference, can you see the difference? What am I talking about? Why the feathers and bark bits!
Some are made from fabric, some from painted paper towels, and some from painted lutradur. It all looks pretty much the same, doesn't it? I'll give you a hint, though - in the feathers, the "smooth" looking pieces are the painted lutruadur, and in the bark, well, it's mostly made of painted paper towels.
So - one more week, one more bird! Getting down to the finish!

A very nifty little bird. Those tiny feathers look like a labour of love to me. The overall effect is really lovely and effective.

ReplyDeleteIts as if there are spidery lines of lichen ( or shadow ) - the brown bits ?
And the mixed feather material does make a delightful textured look.....your getting very, very good at these lol
