In the photo studio...

I've been trying to decide whether to tell you where we're going! I always like to show you bits and pieces as I do them, and have the "big reveal" at the end where you see all the thing whole.

But in this case, I think it's pretty evident where we're going... so this is what's on my design wall cum photo studio.

I actually have a proper design wall, but as it's also where I paint, the design wall isn't white - it's covered with  the detritus of pieces past which is a bit distracting, so I often end up using my "photo studio" (a wall with a white cloth tacked up on it with my camera on a tripod and two sets of outdoor flood lights* for lighting) as a design wall.  (Some day, I'll have dedicated design wall, painting wall and photo wall - but not just yet!)

Back to the piece, I've finished both wings now, and they're quilted to the background, but as it looks the same as the last time we visited - that's not very interesting.

So now you know where we're going!  See you on Wednesday, with more...

*  Those are OUTDOOR lights and should never be used inside.

That said, as I only use one light from each set at a time (all four and it looks and feels like you're on the sun!); and as I only have them on for 10 or 15 minutes at a time, I feel safe enough using them.  But I recommend that you get proper, indoor flood lights if you choose to do this.

    1. it looks very much like who, Lynn? I have not said who the subject is, and you don't know him, so I'm curious whose likeness you think this is?
