Making progress on the August lunch time project

The project has developed its own momentum now. Even as recently as last Friday, I wondered if I would get it done in time for it to be my "August" project, but now it looks like it may be finished by this Friday.

It may have something to do with one of the pieces I rust dyed on the weekend - it's going to be a new hand project and it's singing me a siren song!

But in the meantime, here are some more process pics...

As much as I like that little rectangular thing, I'm going to have to pull it out.  The rectilinear feel of it doesn't work with all the curves and organic spheres in the rest of the piece.  Ah well, an idea to be saved for another one!

I don't want to give away too much before showing you the finished piece (despite all these progress pics), but I gotta tell you these little star arrow things when seen in the context of the whole piece are an especially brilliant idea on my part. lol

And this spinning circle is especially meaningful...

A pause to reconsider on the right hand side, or a reminder of what's to come as I stitch?

(Hint: It's the latter. ;) )

The errant thread in this pic is just that...

All in all, I'm pretty chuffed. :)
