Remember when I told you that I had an issue with a bird's colour bleeding all over my work?

I'm making it all over again.*

NOW do you understand why I had a minor flip out and threw it in the garbage?  Approximately one billion french knots went to waste. (Augh!) 

I'll be showing you the bird's progress on Wednesday. I'm going to have to make him "puffy" to stand up to all that texture.  Should be ... "interesting".

So, first things first: - here's my finished bird - a golden headed blackbird - and check out that foliage!  Five layers of stitching - but well worth it. :)

These are layers two and three...

Which means I can finally start on the bird! And then layers 4, 5, and possibly, 6! before the big finish.
