Blogging for Bliss

Artsy Mama is hosting an online party to celebrate the release of Tara Frey's book Blogging for Bliss.

This is timely for me in a couple of ways - lately, I have been feeling criticized for wanting to have a "quilting blog" - and this book it total justification for it. *w* And, I have been wanting to improve my blogging skills! (So there! *hee!*)

And anyway - who doesn't love a party!? The party's today - so go on over to Artsy Mama's blog (click the linky on her name above) and join in the party!

And pick up that book! I am! :)

  1. I love your blog and would miss it if you decided to not continue publishing here!
I enjoy how colorful it is and, as a former quilter who can't imagine getting back into it right now, I truly appreciate and admire your artistry!

  4. So nice to meet you. I used to live in Oakville, Ontario and then Toronto with my family. Your blog is gorgeous and I must browse to see your quilt creations.

  5. Gypsy - thanks (Love your name, btw - so "free" sounding). I'm looking forward to checking out your blog.

Karen - yay - southern Ontario! :) Thanks for your comment and I'm looking forward to "meeting" you later. :D

  6. "feeling criticized for wanting to have a quilting blog"

Wait, what's up with that? I think your quilting blog is lovely! Quilting is a big part of your life and who you are and I think sharing that on a blog is a wonderful idea. We all have times where our creativity is low and I find that blogging is a great incentive to get going again...or a place to get inspiring ideas!

I'm applauding you for having a quilting blog. :)

  7. Oh - I have a couple of people now speak disparagingly of my quilting blog (not BSP); and there was one comment in quilting the other day about how the writer didn't have a quilting blog because she didn't feel the need to "compartmentalize [her] life" the implied criticsim being well, implied criticism - lol.

Anyway - it's not making me NOT want a blog, but it does make me want to have the best blog I possibly can. So there!

    ;)
