To those of you have been around through all of my various online incarnations (thanks, by the way!) - this beginning may look familiar...
In fact, it looks an awful lot like my very first art quilt Winter Moon, above.
Or, like the last one in this vein that I did (a portion of which is up there in my header) :
In Love and Hope.
However, this one I'm starting by needle felting rather than fusing...
and though the resulting difference is subtle, I rather like it.
Either way, there's a lot more of this to come (this is one of the biggest art pieces I've attempted - and definitely the biggest one I've made using this method (it's 38 inches wide) - so I'll be needle felting for quite some time to come.
However, as you know, I get bored doing one thing at a time, so I'll be working on this along side some other things - and you'll see the process as I go, as usual.
Talk soon!

Winter Moon was your first one? wow ... did not realize that before. I still like it, a lot ;-)) and I'm looking forward to see what your new piece will become (it is so inspiring to watch the emerging process!)
ReplyDeleteI hope you post lots of pictures of the process, because I have no idea what needle felting is!
ReplyDeleteYou must be related to the Energizer Bunny.
ReplyDeleteKit, I almost didn't recognize you with your profile pic on your other blog! It's great! Thanks for your comment on my baby quilt. It's nice to be coming up to a finish. I love your latest needle felting art quilt - fabulous!
