The third time I've thrown my hat into the ring, and the third time I didn't win. *cue the "whah, whah, whah" music*


I'm happy (?) to announce that  Off to Oz - my entry in the Generation Q Magazine's Scrap Splat Challenge, placed second. Congrats to Flaun Cline on her win. (Her quilt really is quite lovely.)

But, can I just say: "AGAIN with the second place?"  Perhaps one day I'll do a 27 Dresses type thing about all of my failed quilts.

Or maybe I'll just stop entering contests!  *heh*

    Congratulations to WINNING second place! I do understand your dissappointment, but still - how many people / quilts did you leave behind you? So - please do not stop entering competions, because one day, you'll be the BIG one, of that I'm sure!!!
    And maybe you want to enter some unjuried exhibiotions, too? Maybe even overseas -imagine me grinning broadly-

    Congratulations on your win. At least you have the guts to enter a contest. I don't like competition and have a fear of losing so I never compete. I like your way of being a go-getter.

    2nd place is good!! and that your skills and abilities amongst other good quilters has been recognised and valued. Our abilities aren't really measureable by numbers though - even if we all really want that no 1 spot:))

    How can you possibly call this a 'failed' quilt? It's wonderful!! I know the feeling 'tho. I entered 3 quilts into the Road 2 CA show and none of the 3 made it into the show. But I'll keep trying just like you will. I love your style!
